Community Participation
Being part of a community is about more than turning up — it's about feeling comfortable, included and confident to keep going back. Our community participation support helps you find activities and groups that genuinely suit your interests, and gives you the support to take part in them regularly.

Who This Support May Help
- People who want to build connections outside their home and family
- People trying a new activity, class or group for the first time
- People who want steady, familiar support to attend regular community activities
Examples of How This Support Is Used
- Attending a local sports club, gym session or fitness class
- Joining a hobby group, art class or men's/women's shed
- Getting to and taking part in community events or markets
Our Approach
We start by understanding what you actually enjoy, not just what's on offer nearby. Wherever possible we aim for consistency in who supports you, so you're building the activity with a familiar face rather than starting from scratch each time.
Available across the Central Coast, Lake Macquarie, Newcastle, Maitland and Cessnock.
Next step: call 0422 528 300 or send a short enquiry with your suburb and the days you have in mind. If we can help, we'll arrange a meet-and-greet before anything is agreed.
