Enquiries Welcome

Looking for a support worker?

We welcome new support enquiries. Meet Mat and our team, available to discuss shifts.

Support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by arrangement, including daytime, evening, weekend and overnight shifts. Times depend on worker availability and suitability, and are agreed with you before support begins. We work with self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants, and cannot directly provide supports paid from NDIA-managed funding.

Plan support around your part of the lake

Your routine may involve support at home, appointments in a different suburb or regular community activities. We discuss both your home location and the places you want to access, so worker matching takes your whole routine into account. Enquiries are welcome from the western, northern and eastern parts of Lake Macquarie.

For recurring support, share your preferred days, approximate hours and destinations. Travel time and arrangements can vary across Lake Macquarie, so we confirm these details with you before support starts.

Support right around the lake

Lake Macquarie has suburbs on every side of the lake, and getting around looks different in each. Here is how support could fit, always shaped around your goals and the supports in your NDIS plan.

What happens after you get in touch

How an enquiry can become regular support, step by step.

  1. Tell us what you need

Call 0422 528 300, send an enquiry or ask your support coordinator to make a referral. Your suburb, the help you are looking for and your preferred days and times are plenty to start with.

  2. We talk it through

We get to know your goals, routine and preferences, and check how your NDIS plan is managed. We work with self-managed and plan-managed participants.

  3. We look for the right worker

We work to match you with a worker who suits your personality, needs and preferences, and aim for consistency once a good match is found. You can request a male or female support worker, subject to availability and suitability. Times depend on worker availability and suitability.

  4. Meet and agree the details

You meet your worker at a meet-and-greet. Days, times, travel, costs and a realistic start date are set out in a service agreement before support begins.

  5. Support starts and grows with you

If a worker isn't the right fit, tell us and we will work with you to find a better one. Support is reviewed as your goals, circumstances or NDIS plan change.

Common questions

Do you cover all of Lake Macquarie?

We support participants right around the lake, from Toronto and Wangi Wangi in the west to Belmont and Swansea in the east, Warners Bay and Cardiff in the north, and Cooranbong and Morisset in the south-west. See the full list on our Service Areas page, or contact us to check your suburb.

Can you help with personal care at home?

Yes. Help with showering, dressing and grooming is part of our daily living support, along with meal preparation. Exactly what is included depends on your needs and NDIS plan, and we agree it with you first.

Can support include trips to Newcastle or the Central Coast?

Yes. Support can include getting to appointments, shopping or activities in neighbouring areas, planned with you before shifts are agreed.
