Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers about NDIS support with Everbloom: getting started, funding and costs, how support works, and how to reach us.
Getting started
Reach out through our Get Support form, by phone or by email. We'll have a conversation about your goals and support needs. If we're a good fit, you'll meet your support worker at a meet-and-greet, and the agreed supports, days, times and costs are set out in a service agreement before support begins.
No. You can contact us yourself by phone, by email or through our Get Support form. Someone else can also refer you, such as your support coordinator, plan manager, an allied health professional or a family member — whatever's easiest for you.
Support Coordinators, Plan Managers, allied health professionals, families and others can submit a referral through our Referrals page. We'll be in touch to discuss the participant's needs and next steps.
Before support begins, you meet your support worker at a meet-and-greet. It's a chance to get to know each other and make sure the match feels right for you before your first shift.
Your service agreement sets out the supports we've agreed, the days and times, travel, costs, any cancellation conditions and a realistic start date. It's in place before support begins, so you know exactly what to expect.
This depends on your needs, availability and the type of support required. Get in touch and we'll let you know realistic timeframes for your situation.
Funding and costs
Everbloom Support is an unregistered NDIS provider. This means we currently work with self-managed and plan-managed participants. We cannot directly provide supports paid from NDIA-managed funding. Your support coordinator or the NDIA can explain which providers are eligible for the funding you want to use.
Yes, we work with both self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants across the Central Coast, Lake Macquarie, Newcastle, Maitland, Cessnock and surrounding areas.
Pricing is discussed individually, based on the support you need, how your NDIS plan is managed and the NDIS pricing rules that apply to your supports. We don't list set rates on our website because every arrangement is different. Get in touch and we can talk through your situation and give you a personalised quote.
Any charges that may apply to your support, such as travel or cancellation conditions, are explained clearly and set out in your service agreement before support begins, so you know exactly what to expect.
Transport is provided in your support worker's vehicle. Travel arrangements and costs are explained and agreed with you before support begins.
Your support
We provide Community Participation, Assistance with Daily Living (including personal care and meal preparation), Social & Recreational Support, Transport Assistance, Household Support (including cleaning and laundry), Life Skills & Independence, One-on-One Support, and support with Appointments & Community Access, including shopping and errands. See our Services page for full details.
We support participants aged 9 years and older, subject to their needs and a suitable worker match. We work with self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants.
We don't provide Supported Independent Living (SIL), high-intensity supports (such as tube feeding, catheter care or complex bowel care), transport-only trips, or regulated restrictive practices such as restraint or seclusion. If you, or someone you support, needs one of these, we're happy to talk through other options, including with a support coordinator if there is one. Not sure whether your needs fit? Call us on 0422 528 300.
Support happens in your home and out in your community, for example at appointments, the shops or the activities you enjoy, across our service areas.
Support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by arrangement, including daytime, evening, weekend and overnight shifts. It isn't an on-call or emergency service: times depend on worker availability and suitability, and are agreed with you before support begins. Send us your preferred days and times and we will let you know what we can offer. In an emergency, call 000.
No. Everbloom isn't an on-call or emergency service, and support times are agreed with you in advance. In an emergency, call 000.
Yes. Participant choice and control matters to us — we work to match you with a worker who suits your personality, needs and preferences, and aim for consistency once a good match is found. You can request a male or female support worker, subject to availability and suitability.
Absolutely. If a support arrangement isn't working for you, let us know and we'll work with you to find a better fit. Your comfort with your support worker matters.
Yes. Support isn't fixed in place — we review and adjust it as your goals, circumstances or NDIS plan change.
About Everbloom
Everbloom Support is led by co-directors Mat and Lauren, who bring 12 years of combined disability support experience (Mat 4 years and Lauren 8 years). We're a small, growing local provider, so when you get in touch you'll speak with someone who knows the business.
We provide support across the Central Coast NSW, Lake Macquarie, Newcastle, Maitland, Cessnock and surrounding areas. See our Service Areas page for the full suburb list, or get in touch to check your suburb.
We're committed to clear communication with participants, families and support coordinators. Support workers record shift notes and support documentation in ShiftCare, a dedicated support management system. We only share information with the people you've agreed to, or where the law requires it, and we talk through who should be kept informed, and how, before support begins.
Every Everbloom support worker must hold a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and First Aid and CPR certificates, and a paid NSW Working with Children Check before supporting anyone under 18. We follow the NDIS Code of Conduct, which applies to registered and unregistered providers alike, and Everbloom holds public liability and professional indemnity insurance.
