Enquiries Welcome

Looking for a support worker?

We're welcoming new participants. Talk to Mat, Lauren and the team about the support you need and the days and times that suit you.

Support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by arrangement, including daytime, evening, weekend and overnight shifts. Times depend on worker availability and suitability, and are agreed with you before support begins. We work with self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants, and cannot directly provide supports paid from NDIA-managed funding.

Three different parts of the Hunter

Newcastle, Maitland and Cessnock are part of the area we serve, and each is set up differently: Newcastle has light rail, buses and trains; Maitland sits on the Hunter River and the Hunter Line; and the towns of Cessnock and Kurri Kurri have no passenger trains, so travel there is by car or bus. Support is delivered in your home and community, so there is no office to visit.

Tell us your suburb, where you need to get to and your preferred days and times. Travel times vary across the Hunter, so travel arrangements and any relevant costs are agreed with you before support begins.

How support could fit around each area

Examples to discuss with us. Every plan is different, so we shape support around your goals and the supports in your NDIS plan.

What happens after you get in touch

How an enquiry can become regular support, step by step.

  1. Tell us what you need

Call 0422 528 300, send an enquiry or ask your support coordinator to make a referral. Your suburb, the help you are looking for and your preferred days and times are plenty to start with.

  2. We talk it through

We get to know your goals, routine and preferences, and check how your NDIS plan is managed (we work with self-managed and plan-managed participants). We can also give you a personalised quote.

  3. We look for the right worker

We work to match you with a worker who suits your personality, needs and preferences, and aim for consistency once a good match is found. You can request a male or female support worker, subject to availability and suitability. Times depend on worker availability and suitability.

  4. Meet and agree the details

You meet your worker at a meet-and-greet. Days, times, travel, costs and a realistic start date are set out in a service agreement before support begins.

  5. Support starts and grows with you

If a worker isn't the right fit, tell us and we will work with you to find a better one. Support is reviewed as your goals, circumstances or NDIS plan change.
